The area around the Florida Panthers' arena could soon get a major makeover. Sunrise commissioners are looking at a massive redevelopment plan for the 154 acres surrounding Amerant Bank Arena. The plan also calls for public plazas, green spaces, wetlands and possibly a cultural center. Amerant Bank Arena has been the home of the Panthers since opening in 1998.
