The "Little Dinos" were state-of-the-art, fully animatronic robots that moved freely throughout the zoo at set intervals, engaging with the public and "creating spontaneous, memorable moments", according to the venue.
At the time, guests could expect to see the robots waving, jumping, and squeaking with excitement as they explored the park located just outside of Broxbourne.
At the time, Tyler Whitnall, wildlife expert and managing director at Hertfordshire Zoo, said: "The 'Little Dinos' are a welcome addition to Hertfordshire Zoo and are bound to delight our guests this summer.
"We've always been committed to providing a top-tier, immersive experience, and these robotic baby dinosaurs take that to a whole new level.
"This is a must-see addition for families looking for a truly unique day out this summer."
