ISLAMABAD – Residents of twin cities planning a hike or morning walk in capital will have to change their plans as District Magistrate, Islamabad ordered the closure of several popular hiking and walking trails for one day. According to official notification, Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4 and Trail 5 will remain closed to the public on August 13, 2026. The administration also ordered closure of trail located behind Saidpur Village for the same day, further restricting access to some of Islamabad’s popular recreational spots. Authorities directed the concerned departments to ensure that the designated trails remain inaccessible throughout August 13. Citizens planning outdoor activities in Islamabad are therefore advised to avoid these locations on August 13 and follow the administration’s instructions.
