The group is among several central Wisconsin quilting organizations that contributed handmade quilts for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. The quilters typically create quilts as part of their ministry at Immanuel Lutheran, displaying their work at the church before the quilts are distributed. For the Honor Flight project, the group worked within size guidelines, making quilts that were generally around lap-quilt size. The project has special meaning because members of the group know veterans and families who have experienced an Honor Flight firsthand. Together, their work resulted in 151 donated quilts — each one offering a handmade expression of appreciation to the veterans they are meant to honor.
