In Tony, viewers get a glimpse into the early adulthood of Bourdain, played here by Dominic Sessa. Cocky, self-assured, and trying desperately to seem impressive to everyone around him, Bourdain could be his own worst enemy and a nuisance to those around him. Anthony is further humbled by the life of a low level service worker, but over the course of the summer he grows more adept and confident in the kitchen. His life is still a mess, and the chip on his shoulder hasn’t strayed too far, but Bourdain gets one of the first tastes of what will become his calling. Tony opens in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver on Friday, August 14 and expands to additional cities on August 21.
