Duo posing as ‘revenge proxies’ re-arrested for rape, robbery of Tokyo womanTOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have re-arrested two unemployed men for allegedly breaking into an apartment, robbing a woman and sexually assaulting her while pretending to act as hired “revenge proxies,” reports Jiji Press (Aug. 12).
Satoshi Murakami, 46, and Yukio Kaji, 42, are accused of breaking into a first-floor apartment in Setagaya Ward between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on March 28.
According to police, the duo attempted to mask their motives by telling the terrified victim they had been “asked to come” to carry out a revenge plot against her.
“I will protect you”In a bid to delay the woman from contacting the authorities, Kaji extracted her contact information and sent her manipulative messages after the attack.
Texts included threats and false assurances such as, “The revenge proxy is still active,” and “I will protect you.”
