MAPLETON, N.D. — A 38-year-old man from Hope, North Dakota, was seriously injured in a Tuesday night, Aug. 11, motorcycle crash after allegedly fleeing law enforcement.
ADVERTISEMENTThe motorcycle went westbound on I-94 from Exit 343, continued northbound on Cass County Road 11 through Mapleton and into rural Cass County northwest of Mapleton, the release said.
The motorcyclist, who was not named by the patrol, was not wearing a helmet and has been charged with driving under the influence.
Other charges are pending, and the crash remains under investigation by the state patrol.
Responding to the scene were the patrol, Cass County Sheriff's Office, Casselton Fire Department, Casselton Ambulance and Sanford Airmed.
