Heather Flower has spent the last five decades inspiring and informing pupils – and she has no plans to stop yet. In her spare time, Heather also coached in netball, rugby, and hockey for various sporting organisations, and set up a children’s choir. She estimates that over the years, she has taught approximately 7,500 children across 28 schools. Heather said: “I thoroughly enjoy my work and the pleasure it gives me in working with young children and seeing them achieve their goals.” She will be back in the classroom this September to start the 51st year in her teaching career.
