The Turning Point Scotland service will shut in October, with a nearby drug crisis centre moving into the Commerce Street site. The crisis centre, also currently run by Turning Point Scotland, will be brought in-house by Glasgow City Council and the city's Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). Neil Richardson, chief executive of Turning Point Scotland, who wrote a blog for TFN on the issue last week, said: "Replacing the residential stabilisation service with a community-based model will remove 16 beds from Glasgow's alcohol and drug support system.
