Rain chances continue through this weekend, especially across North Iowa

Our chances for a feast or famine type of precipitation pattern to continue remain fairly high through the rest of this week and into the first half of the weekend at least.
While Northern Iowa is most likely to see continuous rounds of showers and thunderstorms, Southeastern Minnesota, especially north of I-90, may entirely miss out.
The upper-level jet stream will remain nearby over the next several days, primarily just to our north.
Until the jet stream lifts further north this weekend, the best forcing associated with it will be largely across South Dakota, Iowa and Illinois.
This puts our North Iowa area under more of a line of fire for round after round of rain.
