Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League table after a 2-0 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium yesterday. The Gunners had a nervy start to the game as Niclas Fullkrug came close to scoring from a corner in the opening minute of the derby. Saka was equally good on the day, scoring a goal in his 200th league appearance. Timber also won a crucial penalty for the second goal against the Hammers yesterday which prevented a potential nervy finish for Arsenal. The versatile defender has quite clearly become an undroppable figure in the plans of manager Mikel Arteta in the Premier League.
