The county council will shut the Witney Bypass between the Ducklington Interchange and Witney East interchange. Starting from October 21, there will be road closures between 8pm and 6am on October 23. This is to facilitate resurfacing roadworks and the subsequent line and road markings on the road surface. "Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians." A diversion route has been suggested for those travelling eastwards: divert off the Ducklington Interchange, to turn north along Ducklington Lane, to turn east along Welch Way, to turn north into High Street, before continuing along Bridge Street, into Oxford Hill and to rejoin the A40.
