Oxfordshire County Council is seeking public feedback on plans for the town's High Street and Market Square, which aim to enhance the area while preserving its character and supporting existing traffic arrangements. A new zebra crossing is proposed for Welch Way, west of its junction with High Street. The plans also include designated stopping and waiting areas for local buses and taxis, as well as flat-top road humps on High Street as a traffic-calming measure. These changes are part of the wider Witney High Street and Market Square enhancements scheme and are funded through the government’s Active Travel Fund.
