Manning and Sylla are exploring a fifth-year of eligibility through an injunction to the NCAA five-for-five eligibility model granted by a Colorado judge in late July. The injunction granted an extra year of eligibility to the class of 2022 high school graduates who exhausted all of their college eligibility. Manning and Sylla cannot practice until they are granted eligibility, but Lebby said it was important to go ahead and get them back in the building in case they are given a fifth year. Lebby said he won’t start thinking about the duo’s effect on MSU’s defense until they are granted eligibility. He said MSU would have roster space for Manning and Sylla.
