On one side lies a rock, holding national elections without fulfilling the fundamental prerequisites of the (R-ARCSS). The National Election Commission (NEC) has raised two issues, the first, is the lack of funding. All the aforementioned staff will have to be hired before heading to the polls and yet time is running out for the National Election Commission. Consequently, conducting these polls requires amending the National Election Act to include Administrative Areas. One can therefore conclude that South Sudan’s election dilemma has no easy way out, it’s up to the political leaders to make a decision not to favor themselves, or their political opponents but the country.
