United Way Centraide North East Ontario is hosting its Ready for School Resource Fair, bringing together schools, community organizations and local service providers. Officials say for many families, the excitement of a new school year is accompanied by the growing cost of supplies, clothing and extracurricular activities. They say beyond the financial pressures, many parents are also trying to navigate a wide range of school and community supports—often without knowing where to start. “Every child deserves the opportunity to start the school year feeling confident and ready to learn,” says Tamika Daniels, Regional Manager – Nipissing/Parry Sound, United Way Centraide North East Ontario.
