Data from spy drones used by Britain’s Royal Navy may have been transferred to China, raising fresh security concerns. The drones reportedly contained Chinese-made components capable of transmitting sensitive information to an IP address in China. According to The Daily Telegraph, the affected drones were equipped with cameras containing components manufactured in China. Concerns have also emerged because the surveillance drones were reportedly present near highly sensitive meetings involving senior special forces officers. The report follows an earlier Telegraph disclosure that British special forces had banned Chinese-made electric vehicles at their headquarters because of similar security concerns.
