Source: A man who was accused of killing his mother and aunt in a double homicide in New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania at the end of June was found dead in his jail Friday morning. A man in China facing punishment for his third drunk-driving offense allegedly decided the best way to avoid jail was to fake his own death. Police say Zhu enlisted his mother and grandmother, bought a coffin and even staged a funeral claiming he’d died of a drug overdose. Zhu then fled hundreds of miles away to start a new life, but police noticed there was no death certificate, ambulance record or cremation record. Instead of escaping jail, Zhu reportedly got five months behind bars and a roughly $3,000 fine and his mother and grandmother were investigated for helping with the scheme.
