The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant, Mr Matthew Oyerinmade, challenging the emergence of Hon. The suit was dismissed on Wednesday after Oyerinmade sought to withdraw the case for what his counsel described as “personal reasons.” The defence counsel argued that the parties had already joined issues and that the plaintiff could no longer simply withdraw the action. Counsel to Adefiranye, however, urged the court to dismiss the case, arguing that issues had already been joined by the parties. The court consequently dismissed the suit, adding: “I make no order as to cost.”
