Dr. Terrance Drew officially reopened the newly refurbished Private Ward at the Joseph N. France General Hospital on Monday, marking the completion of a project he described as another step in transforming healthcare in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Prime Minister said the upgraded ward reflects a broader standard the government intends to apply across the health sector.
Drew acknowledged that additional work remains to further modernize the country’s healthcare infrastructure but said the government remains committed to steady progress.
“There is still much more work ahead, but we are moving forward, step by step, with purpose,” he said.
The reopening of the Private Ward follows a series of recent investments by the Drew administration in public healthcare facilities, part of an ongoing effort to modernize services at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, the country’s main public hospital.
