Bob Iger and Joshua Kushner are the new owners of the LA Lakers in a $12.5 billion valuation, according to different reports. The deal comes less than a year after Mark Walter bought a controlling ownership stake in the team. CNBC recalled that the two have been business partners in Thrive Capital, a venture capital firm run and founded by Kushner earlier this year. Kushner and Iger had considered the possibility of buying and NBA expansion team in Las Vegas. Mark Walter had bought the lakers in October at a $10 billion valuation.
