['Stephen Awuah']
The Ghana Report
The Ghana Police Service, working with the National Signals Bureau (NSB), has arrested two men over separate videos containing comments considered to be inciting and offensive towards Prophet Mohammed.
One of the suspects has been identified as 35-year-old Masud Abdullah, an Imam who is alleged to have made statements encouraging violence against people who speak against the Prophet.
He was reportedly captured in a video making what the Police described as derogatory and offensive comments about Prophet Mohammed.
The security service has also urged the public to exercise caution when making comments about religious beliefs and personalities, particularly on social media platforms.
It further cautioned religious leaders, preachers, community leaders and social media commentators against making statements that could inflame tensions or threaten the safety of others.
