Nicholas Hoult (The Great, Superman) has signed on to play Gilderoy Lockhart in the second season of HBO’s Harry Potter series, which is set to begin shooting this fall. The first season is based on the first book in the novel series, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone.” The show has already been renewed for a second season, which will be based on “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” He previously played Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast in multiple X-Men films, and currently plays Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s DC Studios films.
