Isla St John is competing as Miss Sussex in the International Junior Miss UK 2026/27 pageant and is using her platform to champion neurodivergent representation while redefining what it means to shine on stage. She said her journey has been shaped by years of bullying, misdiagnoses and mental health struggles, including depression, self-harm and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD). Ms St John said: "I spent my whole life feeling like there was something wrong with me because my brain worked differently. "Your diagnoses, your struggles, or your mental health battles do not change your worth or your ability to make a difference. Ms St John said DivergeDolls is designed to be a safe, empowering community for neurodivergent girls and women of all ages.
