Leicestershire Police said emergency services were called to the A607 Leicester Road at 10.45am today (Wednesday, 12 August), between the junctions with Thorpe Satchville Road and Kirby Road. The collision was reported to have involved a blue Volkswagen Amarok pickup and a blue Hyundai i10. A 65-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and remains in custody.
