More than 75 veterans will be taken out for a day of fishing on Lake Michigan this Saturday during South Haven’s annual Salute to Veterans event. And that’s what the Salute to Veterans is all about. Jeff Dean with the South Haven Steelheaders says they’ve got about 35 volunteer boats taking part and they’re always looking for more. Also as part of Salute to Veterans, the Michigan Maritime Museum will offer free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for active-duty service members, veterans, Blue and Gold Star Mothers, and one guest.
