Jordan Dix, previously of Yate, assaulted the constables at Patchway Police Centre on April 4 this year. Dix - formerly of Longs Drive, Yate, but now of Eighth Avenue, Filton, Bristol - was given a 15-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for assaulting one of the officers. They were also ordered to undertake nine months of mental health treatment and pay £150 compensation. In addition, they must attend rehabilitation appointments or participate in any required rehabilitation activity for up to seven days. In the court information, Dix’s offences are described as ‘so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified’.
