Ranchi, August 12: Babulal Marandi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly, accused the Hemant Soren government of administrative negligence and financial mismanagement, citing a report from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). During a press conference at the BJP state office, Marandi highlighted serious concerns raised by the CAG regarding the tender process and progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Marandi further targeted the government’s financial status, stating that as of March 31, 2025, utility certificates related to expenditures amounting to ₹1,60,565 crores were pending. Additionally, he claimed that out of ₹1,916.63 crores received for 13 centrally sponsored schemes, ₹596.02 crores were not utilized. Marandi demanded that the government respond to the issues raised in the report and hold accountable those responsible.
