JG SUMMIT Holdings, Inc.’s attributable net income fell 29% to P10.7 billion in the first half of 2026, as elevated fuel prices and foreign exchange (FX) volatility weighed on its airline business.
Lower losses from its discontinued petrochemical operations partly cushioned the decline in total net income, it said.
Core net income and net income both increased 5% to P7.2 billion.
In June, RCR announced a roughly P10.6-billion property-for-share swap with RLC involving Robinsons Dumaguete, Robinsons Tagaytay, Robinsons Iligan, Robinsons Galleria South, Robinsons La Union, and Robinsons Naga.
JG Summit’s share in Manila Electric Co.’s net income increased 15% to P7.1 billion, led by stronger power-generation earnings, particularly from LNGPH.
