The Nationals announced Wednesday that they have designated veteran righty Miles Mikolas for assignment. The Nationals have now moved on from all three pitchers whom they signed to major league free agent contracts. The Nationals will remain on the hook for the rest of Mikolas’ $2.25MM base salary. He earned another $200K in bonuses based on his innings total. Mikolas could have earned an additional $550K in incentives between 120 and 140 frames had the Nationals not moved on.
