Bradley Mallaney, 19, from Brecon, was handed an extended prison sentence by Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Wednesday, August 12.
Dyfed Thomas, representing the defendant, of Trenewydd, Brecon, said: “The pre-sentence report, realistically, doesn’t propose any alternative to custody.
Judge Lloyd-Clarke told Mallaney there were hundreds of images of one victim on his phone.
Judge Lloyd-Clarke told Mallaney he must sign the sex offender's register for life and she issued a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
A restraining order to protect the victim he met will last for five years, while a forfeiture and destruction order was made for all items seized.
