NET Web DeskKohima, August 12: The Kohima District Administration has imposed traffic restrictions at the Phesama Sinking Zone along the Kohima-Mao section of National Highway-2 due to continued road sinking and intermittent debris fall. Heavy commercial vehicles heading towards Manipur and Jakhama Sub-Division will be held at Peducha and released periodically based on restoration work and road conditions. Manipur-bound heavy vehicles have been advised to take the alternate route through Peren district. Light motor vehicles will continue to use the Phesama-Kisama-Kigwema route via Rhododendron Resort for two-way traffic. Pedestrians have been strictly advised to avoid the affected landslide section.
