SUPERIOR — Incumbent Chanz Green and former Rep. Eric Severson advanced in the Republican primary to represent northern Wisconsin in the state Legislature. In the 74th Assembly District, Rep. Chanz Green, R-Mason, easily defeated challenger Scott Harbridge with 62% of the vote in the Tuesday, Aug. 11, partisan primary, according to unofficial results. Severson, an emergency medicine physician, served two terms in the Wisconsin Assembly representing the 28th District from 2011 through 2015. Severson faces Democratic candidate Charly Ray, of Bayfield County, in November. Ray owns Honest Dog Books in Bayfield with his wife and has served on the Bayview Town Board and Bayfield County Board.
