Private equity firm WestBridge has agreed to take a majority stake in financial planning firm Beckett Investment Management Group, subject to regulatory approval. During Foresight’s investment, Beckett increased assets under management from £800m to £2.1bn, grew its client base to more than 5,000 and completed eight acquisitions since 2020. Founded in 1988, Beckett provides investment planning, retirement planning, wealth management and employee benefits advice from offices in Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Ipswich and Lowestoft. Senior investment manager Luke Gilbert said: “Beckett epitomises the type of business WestBridge looks to back. Beckett chief executive Gavin Wood said the partnership with WestBridge would support the firm’s next stage of growth while preserving its culture.
