The opening date for the new Stirling Post Office, which replaces the Thistle Centre branch that closed in July, has been confirmed. The previous Post Office at TG Jones at the Thistle Centre closed in July prompting fears that the service may have left the city centre for good. New Post Office will open on Dumbarton RoadA Post Office spokesperson said: “Our retail partner TG Jones resigned from operating Stirling Post Office in July. “A new operator has been appointed, who has identified an alternative location to operate Stirling Post Office within Saras Stationery and Gifts. “Our priority is to safeguard our services in the locality in the longer term, and the relocation of Stirling Post Office will enable us to provide a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.”
