Scarlett Ungurs, now 15, is the focus of a special anniversary film on The One Show revisiting the impact of her story.
North East teen Scarlett Ungurs, whose BBC One Show story boosted organ donor registrations, has revealed her ambition to become a transplant nurse 10 years after her life-saving heart transplant.
Ten years ago, The One Show reported on Scarlett’s story, revealing how she received a donor heart just in time to save her life.
The episode led to a spike in organ donor registrations, with a 70 per cent rise reported after it aired.
