Cllr Jefferies said residents had been leafleted well in advance of the event, but three cars had remained on St Catherine Street. Cllr Jefferies said: "If the cars don't move, we will have to cut it out of the route. Island Roads, police and Ventnor Carnival have been contacted for statements. Update (3.06pm): A spokesperson for Ventnor Carnival said a decision will be made closer to the start of the carnival, depending on the situation with the vehicles. The Illuminated carnival route may have to be taken, but the event's organisers hope for this not be necessary.
