Proton, through its subsidiary PRO-NET, has officially opened bookings for its second EV, the Proton eMAS 5. Built on Geely’s Star Wish platform, the eMAS 5 carries over much of the donor model’s design language. The eMAS 5 Premium variant is powered by an advanced 11-in-1 integrated motor that produces 85 kW and 150 Nm of torque. According to Proton, this allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. For charging, the EV supports 71 kW DC fast charging, capable of topping up from 30% to 80% in just 21 minutes, along with standard 6.6 kW AC charging for home use.
