Perplexity‘s very own AI browser, Comet, is now free for everyone globally. One of the browser key features is the Comet Assistant that “browses the internet with you”. This AI assistant can also answer questions, summarise text, send emails on your behalf, and more. Before its widespread and free release, the Comet was only available for Perplexity Max plan subscribers, which was US$200 (~RM842) a month. As for the future of the browser, Perplexity said in its official blog post that the company is working on Comet for mobile.
