Stakeholders in Bauchi State have warned that silence and misinformation about sexual and reproductive health could undermine the wellbeing and future of adolescents and young people. This is as they called for stronger health education programmes in schools and communities to ensure that children have access to accurate, appropriate and reliable information. According to him, training teachers and providing relevant learning materials would strengthen the delivery of sexual and reproductive health education in schools. The meeting also featured a presentation by Mr Umar Ningi, Adolescent Health Desk Officer of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Board, who highlighted achievements and challenges in adolescent health.
