Kelowna NewsRelief this week from wildfire smoke hanging over the OkanaganRelief from smokeCindy WhiteWe’ve been dealing with wildfire smoke for weeks now, but things have been especially bad in parts of the Okanagan in recent days.
The smoke pushed air quality readings into extreme territory in parts of the Central Okanagan.
We should get a break from the more intense smoke this week as unstable air moves in, possibly bringing thunderstorms.
Some of the symptoms of exposure to wildfire smoke can include mild irritation of the eyes, nose and throat, headaches and a runny nose.
To track smoke, go to firesmoke.ca or Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index.
