Rochester, NY - On August 7, around 7:40pm, Officers responded to a house on Canton Street for the report of a male shot. Officers located a male in his 20s suffering from a significant gunshot wound to the lower body and quickly applied a tourniquet. The preliminary investigation found that 41-year old Sergio Ponder Sr. allegedly shot the victim, a family member, during an argument. During the arrest, an extended magazine was located, which was loaded with 27 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition. Ponder was transported to the Monroe County Jail and is expected to be arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court.
