Police have arrested two people after a 19-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar. A case was filed with Kamalganj Police Station yesterday following the incident. The arrestees are Badrul Islam, 40, of Marajaner Par area under Shamsernagar union, and Abdul Qadir Sheikh, 58, of Daulatpur area. Her mother-in-law tried to intervene but was allegedly pushed and threatened by the accused, he said. The OC said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the others involved in the incident.
