Costco has begun restocking its Kirkland Signature Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips after pulling the product from shelves in 2024. The chocolate chips, sold in a 4.5-pound bag, were one of the retailer's most requested Kirkland Signature staples before they disappeared. Costco also discontinued a companion product, the Kirkland Signature Semi-Sweet 51% Cocoa Chocolate Chips, at the same time. Rather than sell a Kirkland Signature product above a national brand's price, the company chose to discontinue the item instead. Costco's chocolate chips are produced in partnership with Blommer Chocolate Company, which sources cocoa from the region.
