The Ministry of Interior announced Wednesday that the State Security apparatus successfully thwarted a terrorist plot aimed at one of the country’s vital installations, arresting a Kuwaiti national affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization before he could carry out the attack. According to the ministry’s statement, investigations revealed that the suspect had received training in explosives and drone manufacturing, and had already built a drone intended for use in the planned attack. Authorities confirmed that legal procedures have been initiated against the suspect, who has been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law. The ministry stressed that security agencies will continue proactive operations to monitor and confront any activities or plots that threaten national security and stability. It underscored that Kuwait will not tolerate attempts to endanger the safety of citizens and residents, pledging to deal firmly with any suspicious activity under the provisions of the law.
