Camden considering improvements to public Wi-Fi services

It could be easier to use WiFi services around Camden as the council is considering joining the Connected London public WiFi programme.
Many businesses, public spaces and cultural attractions already offer free WiFi access, each requiring people to sign up and log in every time they connect.
Connected London WiFi is a service that aims to create a seamless roaming experience across London’s many disparate WiFi networks.
Westminster Council signed up in 20205, and now Camden Council is considering the same thing as well.
In its preliminary market engagement notice, the council said it is considering a federated authentication model based on the Wireless Broadband Alliance’s OpenRoaming standard.
