Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga,Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga, has described the National Apprenticeship Programme as the greatest social intervention in Ghana’s history.
Mr Ayariga said the programme has the potential to transform the lives of young people by equipping them with practical skills, creating pathways to employment and promoting self-reliance.
He made the remarks during the 2026 National Youth Conference, organised by the National Youth Authority at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
“The National Apprenticeship Programme is the greatest social intervention in the history of this country,” Mr Ayariga said, stressing the importance of investing in practical skills and opportunities for young people.
Mr Ayariga urged stakeholders to support initiatives that provide young people with the skills, resources and opportunities needed to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to national development.
