'Coldrip' is manufactured by Sri Sen Pharma in Kanchipuram. The central government and Madhya Pradesh formed an enquiry committee. The Tamil Nadu Drug Control Organization inspected Sri Sen Pharma, confirming the presence of the harmful chemical in 'Coldrip' and halting its production, sale, and distribution. The Union Ministry of Health issued an advisory against prescribing cough and cold medicines to children under two years old.
