Housebuilder Keepmoat has secured planning approval for 330 homes at its NorthBridge site, raising the total number of properties planned from 834 to 1,164.
The development, located off Pinkston Road, is one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects and will be delivered in multiple phases.
Tim Metcalfe, regional managing director at Keepmoat Scotland, said: "This is a significant milestone in seeing much-needed homes moving forward for the area.
"We’re thrilled to have secured approval of our strategic re-plan for this transformative development to create much-needed homes alongside the council."
Current work on phases two and three will add 246 homes, including 41 properties allocated for Wheatley Homes Glasgow.
