Zelenskiy also suggested that Moscow could use next month’s parliamentary election as a pretext for launching a new mobilisation. “We have conveyed our proposals to the American side,” Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address. He said U.S. negotiators were expected to visit both Russia and Ukraine soon and added that Washington could help strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities. U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner last visited Moscow in January but have yet to travel to Kyiv.
